22.10.09 Our Interhouse Athletics Day took place yesterday at the stadium of the Technicon close to our school. Two weeks prior to the date our learners were divided into three Houses (Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester) and practised hard almost every day for the big event. On a perfect sunny Wednesday morning all learners of OASIS set off towards the stadium to compete in many track and field events (according to physical capabilities) against each other. There was a fantastic team spirit amongst the members of each team so that in the end the announcement of the overall winner was rather secondary to most of the participants. All the staff members that made the day possible and such a great event for everyone must be thanked for! Now we're looking forward to send our best athletes to the Interschool Athletics which will be taking place in the first term of next year. - Photos of the event are displayed in the Photo gallery.
